- Vintage Hermes Paris 1950's "DEO JUVANTE - MONACO" silk scarf which may well have been designed in honor of centenary of the chivalry's order of the Principality of Monaco. It has an dark gray background, light gray border, and accents of gold and red. There is a knight surrounded by the motto "Deo Juvante", which means "with God's help" and was also the name of the yacht Ranier gave to his wife as a wedding present, and where they spent their honeymoon cruising the Mediterranean. In excellent condition.

Thierry Hermes, a French saddle and leather goods maker, founded the Hermes company in Paris, France, in 1837. The frist women's fashion collection was designed in 1929 and the handbag design made famous by Grace Kelly in 1956 was first made in 1930. Fashion silk scarves appeared in the 1930s and the Haute Couture collection was stopped in 1956, thereafter concentrating on fine quality accessories.
